Learning to Fly Radio Control Model Airplanes

I have been thinking about starting this little RC airplane adventure for about 5 months now. I have always been interested in it and why it has not been a part of my life yet is beyond me. But before I was going to start, I wanted one question answered, are RC airplanes hard to fly? Before going out and dropping cold hard cash for a plane I wanted to make sure I could fly an RC plane safely and effectively without crashing. So my RC Plane flying journey began.

Not even knowing where to start, I hit the forums and started reading. The main consensus was that a RC flight simulator was the way to go, and is an invaluable tool when it comes to learning. I can crash several times in the simulator and it will not cost me any more than the original cost of the software and controller. When the time is right I will purchase my first trainer, hit up an RC Plane Club member and see if they are willing to buddy box with me so I don’t tear it up on my maiden flight. For now though, the Realflight 8 simulator is going to get a major workout.

I received the package a couple weeks ago, and I have been itching to make this “unboxing” video. Upon unboxing, I remembered that my computer does not have a disk drive or CD drive. I jumped on the Realflight website and found in the FAQ that the contents of the disk can be moved onto a thumb drive and installed that way.

If your interested in picking up the Flight Simulator, check it out on amazon.  Buying it through our link below will help the site out at no extra charge to you.

I was pleased to see that it came packaged in a molded cardboard flat, and can be recycled.
